Human Biochemistry

The department offers the M.Sc and Ph.D programmes in Human Biochemistry. Admission requirements for the programmes are as follows: O'level: All candidates must have five credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology obtained at not more than two sittings. PGD: The candidate must have a first degree (Third Class Hons.) degree in Biochemistry and allied disciplines of Biological, Life and Medical Sciences with a minimum pass of a Second Class Honours (Lower Division). Master's Degree: The candidate must have a first degree in Biochemistry with an FCGPA of not less than 3.0 from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University. Ph.D Programme: A candidate who holds a master's degree in Biochemistry with an FCGPA not less than 3.50 on a 5 Point Scale or an average of 60%, from Nnamdi Azikiwe University or a recognized University may be admitted provided the University Matriculation requirement is satisfied.
